Jumplist for MS Wordpad disappeared
A few days ago my jumplist for MS Wordpad disappeared. From both the Start Menu and the Taskbar they disappeared. It had been functioning just fine, since I bought my PC several months ago. I still have the full functionality of jumplists for all other apps, including MS Notepad, my web browser, Windows Explorer, and major programs on my computer. I did an online search on "Wordpad jumplist disappeared" and found this page: Please advise. Don
Thanks so much for all the great advice! I first tried Method 1 and ran the System File Checker tool. I opened the Sfcdetails.txt file and searched for the word cannot , but no words were found. The file did contained this text near the bottom: 2012-06-02 16:04:19, Info CSI 000002dd [SR] Repairing 0 components So tried a clean boot with Method 2 and the problem did not change, so went back to a Standard boot. Tried Method 3 and created a new user account and checked Wordpad and it was able to build a Jumplist. Hooray! So now this is my question : The new user account desktop only shows about 1/3 of the approximately 40 program desktop icons that show up on my original user account, and of course, the new account has a new "My documents" folder so it does not default to my original "My documents" folder where all of my files are. Is there an easy way to change this so my new account can access all of my existing account stuff as the default or am I going to have to copy every thin
