Sync Appts with Dell Axim Win7 exception
I recently installed a new computer at a client. it is a32 bit Windows 7 Home OS. The client is using a Dell Axim Pocket PC, which is running: Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition Version 4.21.1088 (Build 142126.96.36.199) AppPath=C:\Windows\WindowsMobile\WmdHost.exe ReportDescription=Stopped working
unfortunatley this did not help. however, i was able to correct the problem by moving all the events and appts to a new calendar folder. i then restored them a few at a time until i found the offending item. i wa then able to synchronize wit the device only once. I removed the connection between the PPC and the PC and deleted all the outlook appts and events. I then recreated the connection between the PPC and PC and all the items form the PPC then synced with outlook and it is working fine now
WMDC is not so good as ActiveSync :( Try this for me it was working - disconnect the WM device - on the PC, use regedit to remove the entire folder HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows CE Services (right click on the entry in the tree in the left pane of the regedit window, the select "Delete") - uninstall WMDC and its upgrade - reinstall WMDC and its upgrade (easily done by downloading and running, as an Administrator, the current file from MS from one of the URLs shown below; this installs the new drivers first, then WMDC); this rebuilds the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows CE Services folder, but now with correct values (specifically, ConnectTypesAllowed is now 10, rather than 8 as I saw before removing the old folder) - reconnect the WM device My Dynamics CRM Blog: http://bovoweb.blogspot.com
Unable to install .NET 1.1 on Vista Ultimate 64Bit
After trying all the solutions presented here : http://blogs.msdn.com/smondal/default.aspx I still have no success in installing the .NET 1.1 framework on the Vista Ultimate 64Bit system I am running. Below is the results of running the command: msiexec /i netfx.msi TRANSFORMS=netfx64.mst /l*vx log.txt Action ended 13:03:57: InstallFinalize. Return value 3. Action ended 13:04:11: INSTALL. Return value 3.
Hi Kame, Follow the steps provided by “ Sudhan.R” in the thread below http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/netfxsetup/thread/faad3dbe-f6ed-4f95-91dd-5a24a4a974c0 Hope it helps! Regards, Gulrez Microsoft Answers Support Engineer
Tried running the following: msiexec /i netfx.msi TRANSFORMS=netfx64.mst TARGETDIR=C:\Windows\Microsoft.Net\Framework\v1.1.4322 ROOTDRIVE=C: /l*vx log.txt Because in the previous log file I noticed the following entries: Property(S): ROOTDRIVE = J:\ Property(S): TARGETDIR = J:\ Still didn't work and crashing at the same location.
Here are the settings from the system: === Verbose logging started: 1/26/2010 12:50:05 Build type: SHIP UNICODE 4.05.6002.00 Calling process: C:\Windows\system32\msiexec.exe === MSI (c) (B0:E0) [12:50:05:597]: Resetting cached policy values MSI (c) (B0:E0) [12:50:05:597]: Machine policy value 'Debug' is 0 MSI (c) (B0:E0) [12:50:05:597]: ******* RunEngine: MSI (c) (B0:E0) [12:51:20:750]: MainEngineThread is returning 1603 === Verbose logging stopped: 1/26/2010 12:51:20 ===
If I run the install program without the TRANSFORMS for the 64bit patch, I get the following error: === Logging started: 1/26/2010 13:18:15 === Action 13:18:15: INSTALL. Action start 13:18:15: INSTALL. === Logging started: 1/26/2010 13:18:23 === MSI (c) (A8:50) [13:18:26:229]: Product: Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 -- Installation operation failed. Installation success or error status: 1603.
Seems to be something with the failed to get runtime system directory... nothing I've found tells me how to fix that.
If I install .NET 1.1 by itself using the command line: msiexec /i netfx.msi TRANSFORMS=netfx64.mst /l*vx log.txt I find that I get errors at the following location: Action 13:42:32: CA_Regtlb_mscorlib.tlb.3643236F_FC70_11D3_A536_0090278A1BB8. 1: ERROR: Process returned non-0 value!
