Unhandled Exception with Dynamics 2011 in Office 2010
I'm starting to lose my mind on all this, but I'll post the problem and hopefully some can help me. For some reason, dynamics in outlook just stopped working. Here is the error: Microsoft .NET framework Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. if you click Quit, the application will close immediately. Unknown name. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80020006 (DISP_E_UNKNOWNNAME)). I've removed the temporary files in Dynamics from the Diagnostics tool. No change. I've even removed Dynamics CRM from outlook and re-installed it. No change. I'm extremely frustrated. I've got nothing left I can think of to try.
Did you find a solution for this? I'm experiencing the exact same problem. Thanks.
Hi John, Since your issue involves dynamics in Outlook, it would be best if you post your question in Outlook IT pro forum for better suggestions: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/outlook/threads Thank you.
Hi Tiera, This was some time ago, but I believe I ended up reformating the machine. It was a drastic step, but nothing else worked - I tried deleting and reinstalling the Dynamics Client for Outlook with no success. Unfortunately, I have a lot of problems with the Dynamics Client in particular. I'm afraid to even install updates.
Windows Resource Protection Problem
Running Windows 7 Starter Edition on an Asus EeePC netbook. Been uninstalling a lot of unnecessary programs and decided to restart and then run the sfc/scannow in an elevated command prompt. After it reached 96% I got the message "Windoes Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation.". I have saved the log file and it is listed below. What d o I need to do to correct? Do you have a system restore point with a date and time before you started removing software? Select Start, Control Panel, System, System Protection, System restore, Next. You may need to check the box before Show more points and click Next to see earlier restore points.
Gerry C J Cornell. Unfortunately after I had finished the batch of uninstalls I restarted the system, checked that it seemed to be running OK, Then I removed all the restore points and turned off restore before running the SFC command. Shaun
SP Probably not a good idea to remove things that you do not know. In your case I would start by removing and re-installing all the net framework files, and the Chinese language pack. If you do not know how (or do not want to) it may be faster to do a repair install from the win 7 dvd/USB
ZigZag3143. I didn't remove any of the .net framework files. It was mainly Visual Basic, Visual C++ (not the latest runtime) and SQL installs. Shaun
